About Us
What if life could slow down enough to truly connect—with nature, with community, and with purpose?
Seven years ago, Julien and Alice Mayot left behind the fast pace of corporate life in San Francisco to create a simpler, more meaningful life in the Algarve. Drawn to the beauty of Silves, they built Quinta Blue—a vibrant, sustainable homestead home to animals, a flourishing garden, and a deep respect for the land.
Julien, originally from France, embraced farming from scratch, learning beekeeping, animal care, and regenerative gardening. Alice, from Taiwan, brought her eye for design to curate a collection of holiday homes that reflect the charm and calm of the region.
Together, they created Bloom Algarve—more than just a collection of holiday rentals, they are an invitation to step away from the rush and reconnect with beauty, nature, simplicity and all that this wonderful region has to offer.

Our passion for homesteading means that we can share the delights of our farm produce with you! We produce our very own honey and olive oil and thanks to our feathered friends we are able to offer farm fresh eggs for our guests to enjoy during their stay.
